Michael Murray is a self-taught artist from North Carolina. His work is inspired by the images he abstracts from dreams, music and the wonders of the ocean and nature.
Each character he creates represents a story about the complex relationship between human desires and the natural world.
Mike uses his love of creation to capture the ethereal world of his stories and bring his characters to life with unique hand-crafted details, often involving mixed media.

There’s so many buried treasures in the mystic, we don’t know all that’s laying in the bottom of it. But it feeds the planet, and we don’t need to destroy it. Everything about the ocean was wealth, weather you found gold or fed people. When you sail the equator you become a warrior. A right of passage, you could sail all you wanted, but when you sailed the equator you become a warrior.
